Westward Home, East Bay Bound

With Subburdenite off house sitting in San Francisco, Champ played host while I searched for our new home in the east bay. After days of searching and successfully securing our new apartment, I spent some time exploring the east bay parks.

Joaquin MillerTildenThis young buck was meandering on the roadside. He stood still as a statue as I took his picture and then ran off into the woods. After my adventures in the hills, I drove over to Cesar Chavez .These little guys call the park home.Later, over in San Francisco, M and I explored the Presidio and found a bit of quiet here. One thing I love about the bay area is all the flowers that seem to bloom year round. I plan to plant many flowers of my own. Saturday we headed for Bonny Doon and stopped at the beach along the way. With all the running around, the Subburdenmobile needed a car wash. After a great farm fresh meal the night before, we decided to go get some farm fresh produce at the Temescal Farmers Market.
We sat and drank our Blue Bottle coffee, ate our Donna's Tamales and made faces at each other.
As funny as we tried to be, we decided that we needed a good laugh and went to see Super Bad. It was super funny and a super sweet film.

Back in NY, the stress of searching has been relieved, and in a month, DB and I will call the east bay our new home!
